Here are the steps to extract an ISO image from a CD or DVD using ImgBurn and then create a bootable USB using Rufus:

Three Main Things You Need 

1 ISO image 

2 Rufus

3 USB of more than 4 GB

Extract ISO Image from CD or DVD using ImgBurn

  1. Download and Install ImgBurn:
    • Download the software ImgBurn
    • Install ImgBurn on your computer.
  2. Insert the CD/DVD:
    • Insert the CD or DVD from which you want to create an ISO image into your computer’s optical drive.
  3. Open ImgBurn:
    • Launch ImgBurn.
  4. Select ‘Create image file from disc’:
    • On the main screen, select the option “Create image file from disc”.
  5. Choose the Source and Destination:
    • In the “Source” section, select your CD/DVD drive.
    • In the “Destination” section, choose where you want to save the ISO file and give it a name.
  6. Start the Process:
    • Click the “Read” button to start creating the ISO image.
    • Wait for the process to complete. The time taken will depend on the size of the CD/DVD.

Make Bootable USB using Rufus

  1. Download and Install Rufus:
    • Download the software Rufus
    • Install Rufus on your computer.
  2. Insert the USB Drive:
    • Insert the USB drive you want to make bootable into your computer.
  3. Open Rufus:
    • Launch Rufus.
  4. Select the USB Drive:
    • In the “Device” section, select your USB drive from the dropdown menu.
  5. Select the ISO File:
    • In the “Boot selection” section, click the “SELECT” button and choose the ISO file you created with ImgBurn.
  6. Configure the Partition Scheme:
    • Choose the partition scheme (usually MBR for BIOS or UEFI-CSM, or GPT for UEFI).
  7. Start the Process:
    • Click the “START” button to begin creating the bootable USB.
    • Confirm any prompts that appear and wait for the process to complete.

And that’s it! You should now have a bootable USB drive created from your CD/DVD ISO image.
